Job Description

Responsible for end-to-end oversight of TowerCo network operations, ensuring high availability, proactive monitoring, and stringent operational compliance across the tower infrastructure.

The role provides advanced surveillance, incident leadership, root cause analysis, performance analytics, and operational governance to guarantee service excellence for MNOs and enterprise customers. The position ensures TowerCo assets perform optimally, SLAs are met, and operational risks are identified and mitigated.

Key Responsibilities

Risk Management

  • Ensures all network risk areas are identified from Incidentreports analysed
  • Managed Service provider SLA Management and engagement
  • End to end Crisis management with root cause reports derivedand recommendations made Lead the identification of all Network and Operationalrisk areas
  • Develop and enforce risk management activities and Processes
  • Detect abnormal patterns (fuel theft, battery degradation,excessive generator runtime) and initiate mitigation actions.
  • Manage all service provider SLAs and other engagements (ISP,Managed Services, MNOs, etc)

Analysis

  • Ensure and support all first level analysis and escalationof rising trends, repetitive incidents and/or early warning alarms

Governance, Reporting & Analytics

  • Produce high quality operational reports (SLA performance,site availability, MTTR, MTBF, incident trends).
  • Maintain accurate incident documentation and surveillancedashboards.
  • Lead operational audits and service quality reviews withinternal and external stakeholders (MNO partners, vendors, O&M partners).

Network Audits

  • Carry out quarterly physical auditing of towerinfrastructure operations and make recommendations

Change, Configuration & Process Control

  • Ensure adherence to change management policies for alltower/site modifications.
  • Validate RFT (Ready for Test) and RFS (Ready for Service)checks after significant changes.
  • Maintain configuration accuracy of monitored assets withinmonitoring tools

Tools Support

  • Ensure all operational tool requirements are fully supported– Availability, Functionality

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or arelated field
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Member of EIZ with a valid Practicing Certificate

Key Competencies and Skills

  • Strong background in surveillance,operational assurance, or network operations
  • Experience with energy and siteinfrastructure monitoring tools (e.g., RMS & NMS)
  • Experienced in developing and leading operation teams within a network context
  • Proven involvement in incidentmanagement and SLA governance.
  • Familiarity with towerinfrastructure: power systems, hybrid/solar systems, security systems,transmission, and cooling.
  • Broad knowledge of best practicestandards and processes
  • Fully proficient with operationprocesses and SLAs development
  • Able to work effectively at alllevels in an organisation
  • Ability to carry out E2Emanagement of trouble tickets
  • Must be a team leader and able towork collaboratively with and through others
  • Ability to establish and maintainstrong relationships
  • Exceptional communication skills –both written and verbal
  • Proficient with MS reporting tools–  PPT and Word
  • Solid RCA and problem-solvingmethodology.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes(Incident, Change, Problem Management).
  • Intermediate proficiency in dataanalysis tools, and reporting dashboards e.g. Excel
  • Proficiency in NMS/EMS/RMSmonitoring platforms.
  • Strong understanding of telecompower systems (DGs, rectifiers, battery banks, hybrids).
  • Knowledge of passiveinfrastructure standards and site operations.
  • Ability to analyse KPIs andgenerate insights.
  • Strong analytical and diagnosticability.
  • Excellent communication andstakeholder management skills.
  • High attention to detail andoperational discipline.
  • Leadership and mentoringcapability.
