Job Description:

Responsibilities

Oversee end-to-end fuel operations, ensuring smooth loading and offloading of tankers at depots and customer sites.

Ensure all loading/offloading activities are carried out safely, accurately, and in compliance with company SOPs and industry regulations.

Communicate directly with drivers to plan and track delivery routes, ensuring timely and efficient fuel deliveries to customers.

Liaise with customers to confirm delivery schedules, resolve issues, and maintain strong service relationships.

Implement and monitor controls to minimize product losses during loading, transportation, offloading, and storage (e.g., temperature variance, spillage, pilferage, meter discrepancies).

Supervise drivers, loading/offloading staff, and bowser operators, ensuring adherence to schedules and safety protocols.

Prepare daily/weekly/monthly operational reports covering deliveries, losses, bowser utilization, and equipment status.

Requirements

Minimum 2–3 years of experience in fuel/petroleum operations, with a solid understanding of tanker loading/offloading processes.

Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.

Hands-on experience managing bowsers and coordinating fuel delivery logistics.

Practical knowledge of meters, pumps, and pipeline systems used in fuel dispensing and storage.

Proven track record in minimizing product losses and improving operational efficiency.

Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple deliveries/schedules simultaneously, and respond quickly to operational issues.

Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, Tally) for tracking operations.

Prior experience in the petroleum/oil & gas industry in Zambia or the wider region.

Familiarity with local fuel regulations and safety standards in Zambia.
