JOB SUMMARY:

MK Petroleum Company Limited is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Operations Supervisor to oversee and coordinate daily operational activities within our logistics and transportation department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing bookings, ensuring accurate data uploads, and maintaining effective communication with suppliers, transporters, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Rate Management: Receive recaps and disseminate rate alerts to relevant stakeholders to ensure timely updates on pricing.
  • Booking Coordination: Compile and manage bookings, assigning tracking officers to upload information onto the Odoo system efficiently.
  • Data Verification: Review and verify uploaded information to ensure accuracy and authorize load orders for transportation.
  • Nominations and Queries: Send out nominations to client and address sensitive queries from transporters and client promptly and professionally.
  • Tracking Reports: Monitor tracking reports, ensuring they are accurately generated and distributed to the appropriate parties.
  • Supplier and Depot Communication: Maintain active communication with suppliers, clearing agents, and all depots to facilitate smooth operational processes.
  • Deal Summary Review: Regularly review deal summary reports to ensure alignment with operational objectives and identify areas for improvement.
  • Transporter Coordination: Counter check transporter tolls and fuel schedules against nominations to ensure compliance and accuracy in billing.
  • Logistics Support: Assist team members with logistics queries, including clearing procedures at new ports of entry and package handling.
  • Pre-Alert Review: Review processed pre-alerts to ensure all necessary information is accurate and complete before finalizing shipments.
  • Transporter Communication: Maintain consistent and proactive communication with transporters to address any issues and foster strong working relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience for degree holder and 6 years for diploma holder in operations or logistics management, preferably within the petroleum or transportation industry.
  • Proficient in Odoo or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to operational challenges.
