Background
Tera Fleet Management Limited seeks to employ an Operations/Logistics Manager in the Flat & Acid Fleet Department to join our growing team.

JOB PURPOSE
The overall purpose of the role is to manage and oversee the supervision of the company’s logistics operations.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Operations Management: Oversee project efficiency by managing end to end shipments and project cargo from quotation to delivery.
2. Internal Management: Manage and supervise office staff, conduct regular performance assessments to identify gaps in skills, knowledge and operational efficiency.
3. Fleet Management: Manage the company’s fleet of trucks by ensuring all trucks are fully compliant with local and regional regulations such as RTSA and Insurance to ensure smooth local and cross-border transportation of cargo.
4. External Relations: Maintain good communication and relationships with external stakeholders such local traffic police and agencies such as RTSA, RDA and ZRA.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Transport & Logistics Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration or any relevant field.
2. At least three (03) years’ of hands on experience in cross-border fleet management or logistics/transportation.
3. Must be resident in Ndola, or willing to re-locate.
OTHER PREFERENCES
1. Must be thoroughly familiar with the Democratic Republic of the Congo to Zambia route including all toll stations, rest stops, inspection points and the distances between each route.
2. High sense of responsibility, meticulous work ethic, and strong management and execution skills.
3. Familiarity with local traffic laws, traffic police procedures, and insurance claims processes.
4. Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to manage both internal staff relations and external relationships.
NOTE. All interviews shall be conducted strictly in person at our Sakania Office in Ndola.
Salary negotiable based on Qualifications and Experience.
