The Role: PHP All Rounder Cashier
CORE PURPOSE OF JOB
To support the Cinema Supervisor in the profitable and effective operation of the cinema. Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed correctly relating to operations, stock and marketing. Ensure that customers are consistently provided with the highest standard of service.
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Shift Staff to work in our front-of-house and ensure exceptional customer experiences while upholding our brand standards in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
A movie theatre cashier processes ticket and concession sales, handles cash and card transactions, and delivers front-line customer service. Duties include answering showtime inquiries, enforcing cinema policies, and maintaining a clean workstation area.
Job Responsibilities
- Process tickets and concession sales accurately using computerized Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Delivered exceptional customer service to patrons daily, swiftly resolving ticket inquiries and answering questions about theatre policies
- Maintain a balanced cash drawer, verify cash intake, and reconcile transactions at the end of shifts.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering guest questions regarding showtimes, film ratings, and theatre amenities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and adequately stocked box office and concession area.
- Collaborate with floor staff and management to handle long lines efficiently during busy blockbuster releases.
Experience & Education:
- A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience working in a restaurant or hospitality role, ideally in a high-volume or upscale QSR setting.
- A Certificate in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or any related field.
- Relevant certifications in food safety, first aid, or responsible alcohol service are advantageous.
- Demonstrated success in team leadership and customer service excellence
- Preferably a male candidate
About Your Skills:
- A confident, hands-on team player with a passion for hospitality and customer service satisfaction.
- Cash handling, POS system operation, inventory stocking, and ticketing software knowledge (e.g.VISTA,Micros,Gaap) added advantage.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- A positive attitude, problem-solving mindset, and a genuine desire to contribute to the success of the business.
- Active listening, conflict resolution, time management, multitasking, and strong verbal communication.
- Willing to work long hours including weekends and Public Holidays
- Knowledge of the movie industry and a passion for film will be beneficial.
