Overall Responsibility
Provincial Supply Chain Management
Managing supply chain systems strengthening activities at provincial level to improve efficiency, performance, and sustainability.
Overseeing stock monitoring and redistribution activities to minimize stock-outs, overstocking, and expiries.
Supporting destination verification activities to ensure commodities are reaching intended health facilities and beneficiaries.
Coordinating with PHOs and DHOs to strengthen supply chain planning, implementation, monitoring, and performance.
Hub Coordination
Coordinating technical and operational support for provincial supply chain hubs to strengthen service delivery and performance.
Monitoring hub performance and inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and management.
Supporting supply chain data management, analysis, and reporting to inform decision-making and performance improvement.
Facilitating capacity-building initiatives for supply chain personnel to strengthen systems, skills, and operational performance.
Capacity Building
Mentoring supply chain staff to strengthen technical competencies and improve operational performance.
Supporting competency development initiatives through coaching, on-the-job training, and knowledge sharing.
Implementing the “I Do, We Do, You Do” approach to facilitate practical learning and effective skills transfer.
Ensuring effective step-down of supply chain systems, processes, and competencies to GRZ structures.
Data Management
Supporting supply chain data collection, analysis, and interpretation to inform operational decision-making.
Ensuring accurate and timely data entry into eLMIS/WMS systems to maintain reliable supply chain information.
Conducting routine data quality checks and reconciliation to identify and address data discrepancies.
Monitoring supply chain reporting rates and following up on gaps to improve reporting completeness and timeliness.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience
Degree in Pharmacy, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
Minimum 7 years of experience in health supply chain management.
Experience with ZAMMSA operations and regional hubs.
Knowledge of Zambian provincial health systems.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Master's in Public Health or Supply Chain Management.
Certification in supply chain management.
Experience with PEPFAR-funded programs.
Experience with eLMIS and WMS systems.
Experience with hub-level supply chain management.
