Position Overview

Balika Investments Limited is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Part-Time History & Cultural Education Teacher to conduct internal learning sessions for company employees. The goal is to enhance staff understanding of Zambia’s history, culture, and social values, supporting stronger workplace relationships, leadership awareness, and community engagement.

The teacher will work closely with management to design and deliver practical lessons that connect Zambia’s cultural heritage with modern business ethics, teamwork, and national identity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging lessons on Zambia’s history, heritage, traditions, and cultural norms relevant to workplace behavior and management.
  • Support management in integrating cultural awareness and national values into the company’s staff training programs.
  • Facilitate group discussions, reflection sessions, and case studies that help employees appreciate Zambia’s diversity and shared values.
  • Provide management with insights on how cultural understanding can improve communication and teamwork within the organization.
  • Evaluate participation and provide feedback to management on employee engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Occasionally collaborate with external cultural institutions or historians for special workshops or events.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in History, Cultural Studies, Education, or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of Zambian history, traditional norms, and social values.
  • Experience in adult education, staff training, or community education preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to make historical and cultural content practical for workplace learning.
  • Strong sense of professionalism and cultural sensitivity.
