About the Role

Motree Finsolutions Limited is a growing startup in the financial services sector. We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper / Assistant Accountant to support basic accounting, record keeping, and compliance functions.

This role is suitable for a professional who can work independently and help keep the company’s financial records organized and up to date.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record daily business transactions accurately.
  • Maintain proper bookkeeping records (cash, bank, mobile money, expenses, and revenue).
  • Reconcile accounts (cash, bank, and float).
  • Assist with preparation of monthly financial reports.
  • Support preparation of basic financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annually).
  • Assist with ZRA tax returns (e.g., VAT, PAYE, Withholding Tax where applicable).
  • Assist with PACRA annual returns and basic statutory compliance.
  • Organize and maintain financial documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Provide simple financial summaries to management when required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum Diploma in Accounting or Finance.
  • Verifiable Previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting (minimum 2 years preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of ZRA tax procedures and PACRA compliance.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Pastel, Sage, or similar).
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.

Working Arrangement

  • Part-time engagement (flexible schedule).
  • Reporting to Management.
  • Suitable for someone who can work independently with minimal supervision.
