Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Pastry Chef who will be responsible for preparing a wide variety of pastries, desserts, breads, and other baked goods. The ideal candidate will bring innovation, attention to detail, and consistency to every creation, elevating our dessert offerings to a world-class standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present high-quality pastries, desserts, cakes, and baked goods.
- Design seasonal dessert menus and daily pastry specials.
Ensure excellent presentation and consistent taste across all items.
- Oversee pastry production and inventory, ensuring freshness and minimal waste.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to create exciting dessert experiences.
- Train and mentor junior pastry staff.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-end hotel or bakery.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification in baking and pastry arts.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, chocolate work, and plating.
- Creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
