Background

Tyreport Limited is a leading supplier of OTR tyres, retreading and mining support services based in Kitwe, supplying major mines locally and outside the country. We are seeking a reliable, hands-on and detail-oriented Accountant to manage Accounts Payable for Foreign and Local Suppliers as well as Tax Matters.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Creditors / Accounts Payable:

Manage full Creditors function - capturing invoices, reconciling supplier statements, and preparing payment schedules. Reconcile creditor statements and resolve supplier queries and discrepancies promptly. Tracking Imports and maintaining records of imported goods. Processing GRNs, supplier invoices and ensure 3-way matching (LPO, GRN, Invoice). Prepare weekly and monthly creditors aging reports for management.

2. Taxation & Statutory Compliance:

Prepare and file all monthly returns - VAT, Withholding Tax (WHT), Rental Tax. Handling PAYE, NAPSA, NHIMA, Workers Compensation and other statutory returns and payments.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Professional qualification such as ZICA, ACCA, or CIMA (fully or partly qualified). If partly qualified, must be pursuing Advisory Level (Level III). Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Must be a member of ZICA (Licentiate or Graduate level). Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in managing Creditors and Tax compliance in Zambia. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. High level of integrity, confidentiality and attention to detail. Based in Kitwe or willing to relocate.
