JOB DETAILS:
Role Overview
• We are seeking a motivated and experienced Contract Poultry Extension Officer to join our team. This role involves providing training and guidance to poultry farmers on a contractual basis. The officer will conduct workshops, offer expertise in poultry management, and promote best practices in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for poultry farmers, focusing on various aspects of poultry management, including breed selection, nutrition, housing, and disease control.
Conduct on-site visits to assess poultry farms, provide advice, and offer solutions to enhance poultry productivity.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop educational materials and resources tailored to poultry farming.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with poultry farmers, offering ongoing support and guidance.
Monitor and evaluate the impact of training programs through data collection and analysis.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Poultry Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in poultry farming, flock management, or extension services.
• In-depth knowledge of poultry health, nutrition, housing, and biosecurity measures.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work in a multi-cultural environment.
• Additional Information:
• This is a contract-based position with a specific duration.
Travel within specific areas in Lusaka and Central Province may be required.
