Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering effective instruction at primary level in accordance with the Zambia Education Curriculum Framework. The role requires promoting high academic standards, positive learner behavior, and holistic development.

Main Duties

  • Develop comprehensive schemes of work and detailed lesson plans aligned with the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).
  • Facilitate interactive and inclusive classroom lessons that accommodate learners of varying abilities.
  • Implement ongoing assessment strategies and maintain accurate academic documentation.
  • Support learners in strengthening foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, digital literacy, critical thinking, and life skills.
  • Establish and maintain a structured, respectful, and disciplined learning environment.
  • Provide timely feedback to parents/guardians regarding learner progress and development.
  • Participate in staff meetings, school activities, and professional development programs.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and adherence to ethical standards set by the Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ).

Minimum Requirements

  • Diploma in Primary School Teaching (compulsory).
  • Valid Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ) Practicing Certificate.
  • Sound understanding of the Competency-Based Curriculum.
  • Prior teaching experience of at least two (2) years will be an advantage.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Availability to commence duties immediately is preferred.

⚠ Only applicants with Primary Education qualifications will be considered. Secondary Education qualifications will not meet the requirements for this position.
