Unicaf University in Zambia is growing and looking for applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Programme Coordinator – Doctoral Programmes in Education.

Key Responsibilities
• Participate in and/or chair progression boards and student evaluations of doctoral students
• Provide support in the quality enhancement of all doctoral modules’ content of the Education pathways
• Ensure Quality Assurance standards are kept within the Department
• Become a permanent member of the Research Degree Committee
• Report to the Dean of the School of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences (UUZ) / the Dean of the Doctoral Studies (UUFederal)
• Supervise doctoral students and act as Internal Examiner for doctoral students that may fall under their area of expertise

Requirements
• A doctoral degree in a relevant field is mandatory
• Proficient knowledge of English
• Knowledge of research methods and research ethics
• Prior teaching and doctoral supervising experience in higher education.
• Administrative experience within an educational institution. Experience within higher education will be considered an advantage
• Target oriented with good time-management skills and attention to detail
• Confident, team-worker
• Excellent planning and organisational skills, including the ability to manage a range of tasks with conflicting priorities
