Forum for African Women Educationalists of Zambia (FAWEZA), is a gender justice nationwide membership Non-Governmental Organization. FAWEZA is an affiliate of the Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE); a Pan-African NGO network existing in 33 African Countries. FAWEZA aims to promote gender equity and equality through education by advocating for policies and actions promoting girls’ education. FAWEZA seeks to recruit a high caliber and result-oriented Programme Officer – Resource Mobilisation to be based at its National Secretariat.
KEY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Reporting to the Programme Manager, the Programme Officer -Resource Mobilisation will lead FAWEZA’s resource mobilization drive through implementation of the resource mobilisation strategy for the organisation. S/he will work on building and maintaining strong partnerships to leverage on and cultivate strong donor support base for the organisation across key bilateral, multilateral, philanthropic and corporate partners. Another key focus for the position will be to establish non – traditional resource mobilization avenues such as social enterprise. .
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the review and implementation of FAWEZA’s Resource Mobilization Strategy which will incorporate contemporary and innovative resource mobilization thinking, in line with the organization’s Strategic Plan (2018-2022).
• Coordinate development of systems and tools to map and track potential funding partners and avenues, and maintaining database on the same.
• Lead the identification of funding opportunities, listing them and sharing information with management for decision making.
• Working in collaboration with other programme officers, coordinate preparation of concept notes and project proposals for submission to identified corporate, philanthropies and other funding agencies.
• Lead the process of exploring and establishing FAWEZA’s social enterprise agenda and initiatives
• Lead on initiatives to profile FAWEZAs programs as a resource mobilization tool
• Contribute to the production of the organisations communication products/platforms such s newsletter, website and oversee their distribution to donors and potential funding partners.
• Connect with different networks and partners for joint resource mobilization initiatives such as proposal development.

REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum four (4) years hands-on experience in project proposal development as well as resource mobilization.
• Excellent writing and communication skills with attention to detail
• Good analytical skills in developing and implementing resource mobilization strategies
• Ability to work effectively in a teams
• Ability to prioritize workload and demonstrate deliverables/outcomes
• Initiative taker, self-motivated and committed to achieving work results
QUALIFICATIONS: A degree in Project Management, Education, Gender and Development studies or its equivalent. Vast experience and understanding of NGO work will be an added advantage.
