JOB DETAILS:

We are a leading engineering company specializing in electrical, mechanical, civil engineering, and plant hire services. We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Projects Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of our engineering projects.

Job Purpose
The Projects Manager will be responsible for managing multiple projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timelines while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and manage engineering projects from initiation to completion.
Prepare project budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
Supervise project teams including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, specifications, and quality standards.
Manage procurement of materials, plant, and equipment for projects.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Prepare and present regular project progress reports to management and clients.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project satisfaction.
Identify risks and implement mitigation measures to avoid delays and cost overruns.
Support business development by providing technical input in tender preparation and project proposals.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Project Management (postgraduate qualifications will be an advantage).
Minimum 3 years’ experience in project management within the engineering or construction industry.
Professional membership with EIZ or equivalent will be an added advantage.
Proven experience in managing budgets, contracts, and multidisciplinary project teams.
Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera, or other project management tools.
Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
