Background

Steenbok Construction Limited is seeking a dedicated and detail-orientated Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing project finances, ensuring contractual compliance, and driving value across our diverse project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tendering & Estimation: Leading tender responses, performing comprehensive project assessments, and preparing accurate quotations.
  • Measurement & Valuation: Conducting precise measurements of completed works and preparing interim and final payment claims.
  • Cost Management: Rigorously monitor project budgets, expenditures, and cash flow to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Procurement Support: Facilitating material procurement and developing detailed project material schedules.
  • Contract Administration: Providing the project team with expert financial and contractual guidance to ensure full compliance and maximize value.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: BSc in Quantity Surveying.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of proven experience in the construction industry.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and MS Project.
  • Software Skills: Conversant with CAD
  • ID: Valid NRC
  • A clean Driving License (Added advantage).
  • Attributes: Highly organized, commercially aware, and able to work flexible hours to meet project deadlines.
