JOB DETAILS:
Are you passionate about fostering a love for reading and supporting students in their literacy journey? Our vibrant organisation is seeking a dedicated and experienced Reading Specialist to join one of our schools to help our students develop strong reading skills and succeed academically. If you’re enthusiastic about making a difference in children’s lives, we’d love to have you on board!
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized reading instruction and support to students at various grade levels.
- Assess students’ reading abilities and create tailored intervention plans.
- Expert in literacy, Phonics and letter land
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and administrators to track student progress and implement effective strategies.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment.
- Stay current with best practices in literacy instruction and contribute ideas to enhance school-wide initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education preferably literacy or similar qualification
- Certification in Reading or Literacy Education (professional)
- Experience working with diverse student populations, especially in a community set up
- Strong knowledge of phonics, Letter land, comprehension strategies, and assessment techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for inspiring and empowering young learners.
- Not less than 3 years in a similar role.
