JOB DETAILS:
Relief Teacher for Junior High School Drama, IGCSE Grade 10 Literature, and English Language
(Cambridge Advanced Subsidiary Level)

The Italian School of Lusaka is seeking a highly qualified and dynamic Relief Teacher to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Junior High School Drama, IGCSE Grade 10 Literature, and English Language at the Cambridge Advanced Subsidiary Level. This temporary position will span from January to June 2024.

Responsibilities:
• Teaching: Conduct engaging and effective lessons in Junior High School Drama, IGCSE Grade 10 Literature, and English Language at the Cambridge Advanced Subsidiary Level.
• Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to contribute to the overall development of the curriculum and educational programs.
• Reporting: Provide regular updates on student progress and participate in parent-teacher conferences as needed.
• Supervision: Oversee and manage student behaviour in and out of the classroom, maintaining a positive and respectful learning environment.
• Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in adjusting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.

• Professional Development: Stay informed about current educational practices, participate in professional development opportunities, and contribute to your own continuous improvement as an educator.
• Administrative Duties: Fulfill administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Deputy Head (Secondary).

Qualifications:
• Grade 12 Certificate
• Bachelor's or higher degree in English Language or a related field
• Current registration with TCZ as a secondary teacher
• Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum and assessment methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
