Our client is seeking a proactive, results-driven Sales Agronomist with a strong foundation and passion in both agronomy and commercial sales. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and passionate team, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting growers, enhancing crop performance, and contributing to the company’s continued growth in Zambia.Local business advertising

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert agronomic advice and technical support to commercial farmers across key crops including row crops, potatoes, tobacco, and sugarcane.
  • Drive the promotion and sales of agricultural products and tailored crop solutions to both existing and prospective clients.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with farmers and key stakeholders within the agricultural sector.
  • Conduct regular on-site farm visits to assess crop health, soil conditions, and overall farm performance.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, actively converting leads into sustainable client relationships.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform sales and agronomic strategies.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service through consistent support, follow-up, and problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Qualification: BSc in Agronomy, Plant Pathology, Entomology, or a closely related field.
  • Experience: 3–5 years’ experience in agronomy combined with a proven sales track record within the commercial farming sector.
