Job purpose
This position involves both the physical transportation/delivery of products and active participation sales, customer service and related administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Product delivery and logistics:
- Loading the company vehicle with water sachets/bottles
- Planning the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries to residential and commercial customers
- Safely operating and maintaining the company vehicle, including conducting daily inspections (checking fluid levels, tire pressure, lights) and adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Sales and Customer Service:
- Serving as the face of the company during interactions with customers
- Promoting and selling additional products or services to potential and existing clients
- Greeting customers professionally, answering product related questions and handling complaints or issues with a positive attitude.
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships to ensure customer retention and satisfaction.
Required skills and qualifications
- Driving Credentials: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are essential
- Grade 12 school certificate
- Familiarity with local areas and the ability to use GPS or maps effectively
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with customers, dispatchers, and team members.
- A proactive, goal-driven approach to sales with an understanding of customer needs and basic negotiation skills.
- Accuracy in managing orders, handling cash, and maintaining detailed records is crucial.
- The capacity to handle unexpected challenges like traffic delays, order discrepancies, or difficult delivery locations efficiently.
- Minimum two (2) years proven experience in sales position.
