Job Purpose
To be responsible for generating leads and meeting sales goals, duties will include engaging with potential wholesales, distributors and retailers.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
a) Developing and establish primary and secondary markets
b) Service customers by selling products and meeting customer needs
c) Service existing clients and obtain orders and establish new ones by planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on existing or potential clients.
d) Focus on sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of clients
e) Submitting orders by referring to the price list and type of product
f) Keep management informed by submitting activity and result reports, such daily call reports, weekly work plans and monthly and annual customer share analysis.
g) Resolve customer complaints by taking note of customer challenges and establishing solutions
h) Provide historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales
i) Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

- Negotiation Skills
- Prospecting skills
- Excellent command of English (Written and Oral).
- IT skills: Ability to work confidently with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Team player.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Grade 12 or Form V Certificate with a minimum of 5 “O” levels with Credit or better in English and Mathematics.
- Minimum of a Degree in Sales and Marketing or Business Administration
- Experience in sales and marketing for at least 3 years in a reputable organization. Preference to be given to persons with experience in the FMCG industry and field work.
- Fully Paid-up member of The Zambia Institute of Marketing (ZIM)
