Vedanta is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to drive commercial growth for its refined copper portfolio across the United States.

Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) Plc, a subsidiary of Vedanta Resources, is one of Zambia’s major copper producers, with mining and processing operations in Chingola, Chililabombwe, Kitwe and Nampundwe.

• Identify and secure long-term supply agreements with major US wire, cable, data centre infrastructure, EV component manufacturers and automakers
• Serve as the primary commercial contact for key accounts
• Analyse US copper market trends, regulatory developments, competitor activity and macroeconomic indicators
• Work closely with logistics, risk management and production teams
• Deliver accurate demand forecasts, pipeline updates and revenue projections to senior leadership
• Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic customers

• Excellent negotiation, contract structuring and relationship-building skills
• Strong analytical ability and understanding of market data and commodity trends
• Proficiency in CRM software and advanced ERP systems

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Metallurgy or a related field
• 10–15 years’ experience in industrial sales, particularly base metals, refined copper cathode, or copper rod/wire sectors
• Established network of procurement contacts within US wire/cable manufacturing, data centre infrastructure, automotive or EV supply chains
• Strong understanding of commodity pricing mechanisms and structures
• Willingness to travel domestically for client visits and industry conferences
