Profile
Yara Fertilizer Zambia Limited is looking to fill the permanent position of a Sales Manager Zambia Cluster.
Area of responsibility: Zambia, Mozambique, Malawi
Living location: Lusaka
Reporting to: Senior Commercial Manager; Southern Africa.

Role & Responsibilities
• To drive the sales strategy implementation, marketing and provide commercial administrative support to the Yara Zambia Cluster (Zambia, Mozambique and Malawi) under the guidance of the Senior Commercial Manager; Southern Africa, so as to contribute to a sustainable business and sales footprint, with the focus on the growth of Yara premium and differentiated products:

• Own the sales, marketing, small scale team management, customer and product portfolio objectives.
• Contribute to commercial marketing, sales administration, reporting and sales commission structures.
• Own and implement compliant credit application and integrity due diligence processes.
• Assist in procurement planning, stock control and the electronic ordering processes.
• Critically review incoming sales orders versus stocks and contribute towards sales forecasting and analysis of supply-lines feasibility.
• Implement Yara developed farming solutions and digital business enhancement platforms.
• Own the preparation of all sales tender documents.
• Own the Cluster pricing schedules.
• Oversee volume growth; particularly the Yara Own Produced Product portfolio in developing and existing Small Scale, Government and NGO sectors.
• Contribute to uplifting food nutrition knowledge base and Yara sales and after sales services in the agricultural community.
• Contribute to the development of productive relationships, in a diverse and inclusive manner, whilst applying principles of integrity towards both internal and external stakeholders within the Zambia Cluster.
• Functional Knowledge
• Sound understanding and senior management experience in selling, marketing and negotiating in a commercial environment.
• Sound understanding and senior management experience in administration and reporting, business models, product markets, procurement planning and pricing.

Competencies
• Business: strategy implementation, management, organization administration, budgeting, critical evaluation, consultation and value selling.
• Technical: digital marketing and sales
• Business Expertise, Leadership, Problem Solving, Interpersonal Skills
• Proficiency in corporate and results orientated business requirements (planning, forecasting, marketing & sales, risk management and contracting), relevant to Marketing and Sales.
• Cross departmental staff and stakeholder management and support functions .
• Analysis, judgment and provision of solutions to the day to day challenges of the Marketing and Small Scale departments.
• Ability to explain instructions for accurate execution, influence and motivate others to work together in achieving set departmental goals, key performance indicators whilst encouraging openness, honesty and the provision of constructive feedback.

Qualifications and Experience
• Degree in Business, preferably with Masters OR previous Managerial experience within Yara and tertiary and related business courses.
• Minimum 04 years senior management role with previous exposure to Yara Management being an advantage.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications and business operating systems.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
