About African Boss

African Boss is expanding its sales and marketing operations and is seeking 10 energetic, creative and ambitious fresh graduates to join its Sales and Marketing Team on a two-month internship programme.

The programme is designed to provide young graduates with practical, hands-on experience in digital marketing, social media management, customer acquisition, online sales and business development.

Successful interns who demonstrate exceptional performance, commitment and the ability to meet sales targets will be considered for permanent employment as Sales and Marketing Officers at African Boss.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be responsible for:

• Digital Content Creation: Designing attractive and engaging marketing posters, promotional graphics and social media content to advertise African Boss products, including chicken sausages and other poultry products.
• Social Media Marketing: Publishing and sharing marketing posters and promotional content on Facebook pages, groups and other relevant online platforms to generate customer interest.
• Customer Engagement: Responding to enquiries, engaging potential customers and providing accurate information about African Boss products.
• Customer Acquisition: Identifying potential customers, convincing interested prospects to purchase African Boss products and facilitating their registration on the African Boss customer management system.
• Sales Development: Building and maintaining relationships with potential customers and following up on enquiries to convert prospects into registered customers.
• Target Achievement: Working towards assigned weekly sales and customer registration targets.
• Marketing Reports: Providing regular updates on marketing activities, customer engagements, leads generated and sales performance.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Must be a fresh graduate holding a Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field, such as Marketing, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Business Management or a related discipline.
• Must be below 25 years of age at the time of application.
• Must be currently residing in Lusaka.
• Must own and have access to a personal laptop or desktop computer.
• Must possess basic computer skills and be comfortable using social media platforms, particularly Facebook.
• Must demonstrate creativity and an interest in digital marketing, graphic design and online sales.
• Must have excellent communication, interpersonal and persuasion skills.
• Must be self-motivated, results-oriented and willing to work towards weekly sales targets.
• Must be willing to learn, take initiative and work both independently and as part of a team.

Internship Benefits and Remuneration

This is a two-month unpaid internship programme intended to provide fresh graduates with practical workplace experience and an opportunity to develop valuable professional skills.

However, African Boss will provide each intern with:
