The Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales and expanding market reach for the company’s hardware, lighting products, and solar energy solutions. This role involves identifying and engaging prospective customers, understanding their needs, and offering tailored product recommendations. The ideal candidate will have strong product knowledge, especially in energy-efficient lighting, solar technologies, and general hardware solutions, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and persuasively.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
l Promote and sell hardware, lighting, and solar energy products to retail customers, contractors, developers, and commercial clients
2 Identify new sales opportunities through cold calls, site visits, referrals, and industry networking
3 Conduct product demonstrations and explain the features, benefits, and technical specifications of lighting and solar solutions
4 Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships and provide excellent after-sales support
5 Stay updated on market trends, competitor products, and industry developments
6 Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
7 Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback to management
8 Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and customer events
9 Develop smart strategies to attract and retain new customers in communities.
10 Stay consistent with follow-ups and maintain integrity in every transaction.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
l Full Grade Twelve Certificate.
2 Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
3 1-2 years proven experience in sales, preferably in the hardware, lighting, or renewable energy sector
4 Strong people skills — you’re friendly, persuasive, and reliable.
5 Comfortable working independently and in a fast-paced team.
6 Strong knowledge of solar energy systems, lighting technologies (LED, smart lighting), and general hardware tools and equipment
7 Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
8 Ability to understand and explain technical products to non-technical customers
9 Self-driven with strong organizational and time-management skills
