Zaffico PLC is a listed and publicly traded company whose mission is to establish and manage industrial exotic forest plantations and agroforestry products in order to meet demand and maximise return on investment. The company’s business focus has evolved to cover the full forestry value chain from plantation establishment and management to complementary processing facilities, including a Pole Treatment Plant and state-of-the-art Wetmill.
Zaffico PLC is inviting applications from suitably qualified and motivated candidates for the position of Sales Specialist.
Job Purpose
The Sales Specialist will be responsible for developing, coordinating and managing sales and marketing strategies in line with the Corporation’s overall objectives and strategic goals.
Main Duties and Accountabilities
- Develop appropriate marketing and sales strategies, action plans and budgets in line with the Corporation’s strategic objectives.
- Develop market research strategies to support decisions on quality products and services.
- Plan and monitor implementation of the Corporation’s business proposition to retain existing clients and attract prospective ones.
- Ensure that the Corporation’s products and services are sold to generate projected revenue according to sales objectives and targets.
- Recommend and conduct product and service promotion and publicity campaigns to retain existing customers and attract new ones.
- Provide technical advice to Management in the development of business policies and enhancement of the corporate brand.
- Liaise with other departments on product and service quality to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Manage strategic customer relationships, evaluate current marketing programmes and recommend improvements and new business ventures.
- Issue timely monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports to aid decision making.
- Conduct customer surveys and assessments to improve processes and customer experience.
- Carry out special assignments and submit findings to the superior.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Full Grade 12 School Certificate with five O Levels, credits or better.
- Degree in Marketing or equivalent.
- Master of Marketing, Business Administration or equivalent is an added advantage.
- Minimum five years’ experience in sales, customer account and relationship management.
- Member of the Zambia Institute of Marketing.
- Must possess a valid driving license.
- Experience in forestry is an added advantage.
