JECO Investment Zambia Limited, a licensed mining company, is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the following positions:
Responsibilities
The Sectional Engineer will oversee engineering and maintenance activities within their assigned section, ensuring the continuous availability of critical mining equipment. This role involves implementing maintenance schedules, conducting root cause analyses, and collaborating with production teams to align engineering efforts with operational objectives. The successful candidate will also enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations while supervising a team of artisans and technicians.
Qualifications
Diploma or higher in Mechanical Engineering
Experience
5 to 10 years in a mining environment as a sectional engineer
Additional Requirements
Membership in the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ) and exposure to mobile equipment maintenance and project management
General Requirements for All Mining Jobs in Lumwana
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Valid Zambian National Registration Card (NRC)
- Valid Silicosis Certificate
- Knowledge of Mines and Minerals Act, Safety and Health Regulations
- Proven safety record with zero lost time incidents (LTI)
- Willingness to undergo medical, drug, and alcohol testing
- Ability to work in remote locations and on rotating shifts
- Medically fit for mining operations
