Reporting to: Shelter Manager
Roles and Responsibility
- Ensure YWCA property and individual property is protected.
- No unauthorized entry into the shelter
- Ensure that all records and registers for security inquiries are updated, visitors and drivers sign the log book, and ensure the log book is kept properly and secure.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively to the Shelter Manager on all matters related to theft and emergencies reported
- Report immediately all incidents that occur during day or night shifts to the Shelter Manager.
- Performs any other duties as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
Desired Qualifications and competences:
- Grade 12 Certificate
- At least three (3) years of experience working in a related field
- Experience in working with CSOs/NGOs
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Experience working for an international non-government organization is an advantage
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
YWCA has a zero-tolerance approach to conduct such as fraud, sexual exploitation, abuse, sexual harassment, abuse of authority, and discrimination. All recruited officers will be expected to adhere to YWCA’s standards of conduct and will therefore undergo rigorous background verification internally or through third parties.
