Position Summary

The Security Rider (Motorbike) is responsible for providing rapid-response security services using a motorbike to patrol assigned areas, respond to alarms and incidents, and support static guards and patrol units. The role requires high mobility, discipline, and strong situational awareness to enhance overall security effectiveness.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct scheduled and random motorbike patrols within assigned zones
  • Respond promptly to panic alarms, distress calls, and emergency incidents
  • Provide first response support before reinforcement arrives
  • Observe, identify, and report suspicious activities or security breaches
  • Support night operations, shift changes, and guard supervision
  • Escort staff, assets, or vehicles when required
  • Maintain accurate daily patrol logs and incident reports
  • Communicate regularly with the Control Room and Operations Team
  • Ensure proper care, cleanliness, and basic maintenance of the motorbike
  • Adhere strictly to company SOPs, safety protocols, and client instructions
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

  • Valid motorbike riding license
  • Minimum Grade 9 Certificate (Grade 12 added advantage)
  • Prior security experience is an added advantage
  • Physically fit and able to work long shifts
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Basic knowledge of security procedures and emergency response
  • Willingness to work day and night shifts, weekends, and public holidays

  • Defensive and disciplined riding skills
  • Strong observation and situational awareness
  • Quick decision-making under pressure
  • Good communication and reporting skills
  • High level of integrity, discipline, and reliability

Equipment & Uniform

  • Company-issued motorbike
  • Protective riding gear (helmet, reflective jacket, boots, gloves)
  • Communication device (radio/phone)
  • Standard security uniform and identification

Working Conditions

  • Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
  • High-alert, fast-response environment
  • Exposure to potential security risks

Performance Indicators

  • Response time to incidents
  • Accuracy and timeliness of reports
  • Compliance with SOPs and safety standards
  • Client and supervisor feedback
  • Motorbike care and operational readiness
