JOB DETAILS:
The Zambia Metrology Agency (ZMA) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry (MCTI) established by the Metrology Act No. 6 of 2017. Its overarching mandate is to oversee the provision of Scientific, Industrial, and Legal Metrology services in the country.

The Agency hereby invites applications from suitably qualified Zambians to fill the following vacant positions:
SENIOR INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY
REPORTING TO: Director Corporate Services
LOCATION: Lusaka
JOB PURPOSE: To supervise and undertake the provision of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) technical and support services in the design, development, acquisition, implementation and maintenance of information systems in order to ensure efficient provision of e-services.

RESPONSIBILITIES
KEY RESULT AREAS
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (MAIN DUTIES)
Information Systems
Supervises and undertakes effectively the deployment, maintenance and monitoring of ICT systems, infrastructure, hardware and software in order to facilitate seamless access to ICT services and efficient delivery of services.
User Needs Assessment
Supervises and undertakes periodically user needs. assessments in order to facilitate business process re- engineering, automation and systems development.
User Guidelines.
Supervises and undertakes effectively the provision of guidelines and support for application users in order to ensure high availability and maintenance of business applications.
ICT Projects
Supervises and undertakes effectively the review and implementation of ICT application projects in order ensure adherence to standards and user requirements.
Technical Support
Supervises and undertakes effectively the provision of seamless technical support to acquired and in-house developed systems in order to ensure high availability of the systems and services to users.
Capacity Building
Supervises and undertakes effectively capacity building of end-users in order to enable them to effectively utilise various ICT systems to perform their work.
Systems Documentation
Supervises and undertakes timely the documentation of information systems and systems inventory in order to facilitate maintenance and business continuity.
Website and Portal
Supervises and undertakes effectively the management of content on websites and portals in order to ensure that the sites have updated and relevant content.
Monitoring and Evaluation
Supervises and undertakes timely monitoring and evaluation of ICT systems implementation in order to facilitate development of appropriate interventions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
a) Full Form V/Grade Twelve School Certificate
b) Bachelor’s degree in Computer Studies or its equivalent
c) Minimum relevant work experience of 6 years
d) Member of the Information and Communication Technology Association of Zambia
e) Microsoft/CCNA certification
