The Senior Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the organization’s end-to-end logistics and supply chain operations. This role ensures efficient transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution of goods while maintaining cost efficiency, service quality, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Senior Logistics Manager leads logistics teams, manages vendor relationships, and drives continuous improvement initiatives aligned with business objectives.
Responsibilities or duties
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to support business growth, cost optimization, and service-level targets
- Oversee transportation, warehousing, distribution, and inventory management operations
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, carriers, and suppliers
- Monitor and control logistics budgets, costs, and performance metrics (KPIs)
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international logistics, safety, and trade regulations
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate logistics and warehouse teams
- Analyze logistics data to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements
- Collaborate with procurement, operations, sales, and customer service teams to ensure seamless supply chain execution
- Manage risk, contingency planning, and issue resolution related to logistics disruptions
