Palm Oil Production and Plantation

The Senior Oil Mill Superintendent will be responsible for:

  • Assist in overseeing the running and management of the Oil Mill Plant.
  • Formulation of Oil Mill operations and management of labour.
  • Processing and production of Crude Palm Oil (CPO).
  • Quality Control of finished Crude Palm Oil, storage and dispatch of finished Crude Palm Oil. Conducting annual maintenance activities for the Milling Plant.
  • Preparation of departmental annual Work Plan and Budgets.
  • Processing of Fresh Fruit Bunches and production of high-quality CPO.
  • Ensuring the desired Oil Extraction Rate for every batch is achieved.
  • Ensuring the attainment of OER as set by the company.
  • Preparation of machine maintenance schedules.
  • Ensuring minimal machine down time by conducting periodical machine maintenance.
  • Conducting annual machine maintenance activities for the Milling Plant.
  • Ensuring effective Supervision of the Zampalm laboratory staff.
  • Ensuring that Tasks assigned to workers are achieved and monitoring of employee productivity.
  • Preparation and submission of daily and monthly production reports to the Oil Mills Manager.
  • Ensuring that planned machine maintenance activities are carried out.
  • Ensuring good Housing Keeping of the Mill

Qualification:

  • Full Grade 12 GCE O’Level Certificate or GCSE
  • Degree in Production Management, Food Science or Chemical Engineering or the equivalent from a recognised institution
  • Training in ISO 9001; 2015

Experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in a processing industry or equivalent institution with at least 3 years at Supervisory Level in a reputable firm.
  • Proven track record in managing large factory such as Sugar Plantation, Coffee, or Tea Plantation.
  • Familiarity with Zambia’s Regulatory Environment (e.g., ZEMA, ZABS, Companies Act, ZCSA etc.) is greatly desired
  • Knowledge of the Palm Oil Industry will be an added advantage
