1. Purpose of the Job
To assist in the development, planning, and implementation of the Authority’s projects in line with the Authority’s strategic goals and mandate under the Universal Access and Services Fund for the delivery of ICTs in unserved and underserved areas in Zambia to bridge the digital divide.
2. Statements of Main Responsibilities
- Coordinates effort across policy and advocacy, strategy, and planning to ensure that all strategies are translated into actionable projects and resources are utilized effectively.
- Ensures the efficient use of available resources for initiatives aimed at bridging the digital divide to maximize the impact of limited funding by focusing on well-defined projects with clear goals and measurable outcomes
- Manages project scope and adjusts strategies based on ongoing monitoring and evaluation results to ensure adoption to changing circumstances and prioritise the most impactful initiatives within limited resources.Translates strategies and advocacy into tangible results within budget and time constraints.
- Prepares Project Plan by assessing the viability/business case of proposed projects in relation to the Authority’s strategic goals to ensure the orderly implementation of selected projects and programs.
- Initiates proposals for ICT Projects meant to serve the unserved and underserved to bridge the digital divide across the country.
- Coordinates various stakeholders involved in planning and implementation of Projects to meet projects intended objectives and goals.
- Provides project support to various projects within the Authority to ensure efficient management of Authority projects in line with the project management Methodology
- Identifies and proactively mitigates potential risks that could derail the project implementation.
- Works with diverse teams to foster collaboration and achieve project goals.
- Manages project budget and time, identifies cost-saving opportunities, and ensures the project stays within budget constraints.
Requirements
General Education: Full Grade 12 School Certificate
Professional/Academic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration, Urban Regional Planning, project management, or related qualifications.
