About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer to oversee and manage on-site engineering activities for one of our projects in North West and Copperbelt Provinces, Zambia.
This is a 12-month contract position, requiring strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent coordination skills among stakeholders. This position comes with an attractive package offering decent site accommodation, transport and meals, with a flexible rest and recuperation (R and R).
Key Responsibilities
- Contract management.
- Client liaison.
- Contractor liaison.
- Following Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) plan.
- Managing assistant site engineers.
- Project Management.
Minimum Requirements
- A minimum Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- Must be a fully registered and paid-up member of Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
- At least 10 years of experience in site works covering, tailings facilities, earthworks, liner and landfill designs.
- Experience in Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) processes.
- Must have Global Standard on Tailings Management (GISTM) knowledge.
- Must have supervisory experience.
- Excellent skills in technical report writing.
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Project.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
- Valid driver’s License and experience in driving in various road conditions.
