Kinetic Solutions Ltd is a wholly Zambian-owned, multi-disciplinary engineering and contracting firm with over a decade of experience in the supply, installation, and maintenance of renewable energy generating equipment, high-voltage power line construction, and advanced telecommunications network infrastructure.
Due to our expanding portfolio of successfully secured turnkey EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects with major state entities, including ZESCO Limited, Zamtel, and ZAMREN, as well as a growing pipeline of private commercial and residential solar installations, we are proactively inviting highly qualified, motivated, and technically competent Zambian professionals to apply for current and anticipated vacancies.
We are looking to build a robust talent pool of personnel who are passionate about clean energy and committed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and workmanship. Shortlisted candidates from this pool will be contacted for immediate and upcoming project deployments across Zambia, including Lusaka, Copperbelt, Northern Province, and North-Western Province.
Responsibilities or duties
The Site Foreman is a hands-on leader who supervises daily site activities and ensures the workforce meets production goals safely .
- Directing the Crew: Direct crew members in a safe and efficient manner to meet production goals .
- Task Delegation: Delegate tasks to on-site crews, oversee their work, and ensure they adhere to project plans and specifications .
- Reporting and Documentation: Complete daily project reports for administration and project management .
- Material and Equipment Management: Order materials, conduct daily and monthly inventory of tools and equipment, and ensure supplies like fuel are on-site .
- Site and Safety Management: Identify and locate any underground/overhead utilities, and ensure the job site is secured at the end of each working day .
- Issue Resolution: Recognize and address issues that arise on-site, maintaining accurate grade and project layout .
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Minimum Qualification Criteria
Candidates must possess the relevant academic qualifications and professional certifications as stipulated by Zambian law.
- Engineers must be registered with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) and possess a valid practicing certificate.
- Supervisory roles require valid registration with the National Council for Construction (NCC) in the appropriate Grade and Category.
- Electrical Installers must hold a valid Electrician’s License and a recognized Trade Certificate.
- OHS/EHS and Social Welfare Officers must possess recognized diplomas/degrees and active industry memberships.
Experience needed
Experience
A proven track record of hands-on experience in the specific field is mandatory. Candidates must demonstrate experience working on electrical power systems, solar PV installations, or large-scale telecommunications infrastructure projects within Zambia.
