JOB DETAILS:
Better World Innovations is an incorporated social enterprise promoting climate-smart agriculture and technologies that improve agricultural yields and food security for smallholder farmers. Better World Innovations support and trains smallholder farmers selected from vulnerable and marginalized groups to engage in sustainable and profitable farming. Better World Innovations is looking for a software developer to work on a project scaling up climate-smart agriculture technology in female smallholder farmers. The software developer-consultant will design and develop a mobile-based application as outlined in the terms of references.

Deliverables
• Give profession advise on how to best achieve a user-tailored mobile app
• Design and develop an advanced mobile-based application that will work on both android and iOS operating systems
• Design the graphic outlook of the app
• Design and develop software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes
• Link the app to the existing data hub and database
• Incorporate changes to the first version based on client feedback
• Launch the final version of the app on the google play store
• Incorporate search optimization to reach out to more users
• Developers who can provide ongoing database hosting services such as iCloud are strongly preferred
Duration
• We are anticipating the first version of the app in 3 to 4 weeks
• We are anticipating the final launched version within a period of 4 to 8 weeks
