Role Summary:
The head of the electrical department, responsible for the generation, transmission, and distribution of power within the sugar plant and the co-generation power plant (export).
Key Responsibilities:
- Power Generation: Oversee the operation and synchronization of Turbo Generators (TGs) with the state/national grid.
- Protection Systems: Manage the maintenance of complex protection relays, circuit breakers, and switchgear (HT/LT).
- Load Management: Balance the electrical load between factory consumption and export to the grid.
- Project Management: Lead electrical capital projects (e.g., new turbine installation, capacitor bank upgrades).
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with Grid Codes, IE Rules, and statutory electrical safety regulations.
- Team Management: Lead a team of Assistant Managers, Engineers, and Technicians.
Qualifications & Experience:
- B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems major preferred).
- 18-20 years of experience in a 30+ MW co-generation plant.
- Proven experience in Grid Synchronization and ABB/Siemens DCS systems.
