Position Overview:

We are recruiting experienced Steel Fixers to carry out all reinforcement works on site. You will be tasked with reading Bar Bending Schedules (BBS), cutting, bending, and fixing reinforcement bars (rebar) and mesh for a wide range of structural elements, including heavy machine foundations, road slabs, and drainage channels.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpretation:Read and interpret Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) and structural drawings to determine reinforcement requirements.

Fabrication:Cut and bend steel reinforcement bars to the specified shapes and sizes using manual or hydraulic bending machines.

Fixing & Tying:Fix reinforcement bars for foundations, slabs, columns, beams, and walls. Tie bars securely using wire to ensure they do not move during concreting.

Spacing & Cover:Ensure correct spacing between bars and use spacers/chairs to maintain the specified concrete cover as per design drawings.

Mesh Installation:Install and fix steel wire mesh (e.g., Φ4mm) in concrete ditches and thinner slabs as specified.

Safety:Handle heavy steel loads safely and adhere to all safety protocols regarding lifting and sharp objects.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Steel Fixer in the construction industry.
• Ability to read BBS and structural drawings is essential.
• Experience with both light mesh and heavy structural reinforcement.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
