Purpose of the role:
The Storeman, Dispatch will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the movement of goods or services from the warehouse to other parties. The Storeman will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of logistics and transportation processes on the outbound leg of warehouse management.

Senior Warehouse Supervisor.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The Storeman will be required to perform the following tasks:
Coordination and Scheduling
Responsible for receiving incoming requests for parts or services and creating an efficient schedule. This involves coordinating with other personnel to ensure timely deliveries.
Picking/ Packing and Dispatching
To pick and pack the items and processes through D365 once the picking requirement is established.
Communicate the necessary information, such as pickup or delivery locations, special instructions, and any relevant documentation required.
Communication
Serve as a primary point of contact for drivers, and customers.
Maintain clear and effective communication channels, providing updates, addressing inquiries, and resolving any issues or delays that may arise during the transportation or service process.
Tracking and Monitoring
Monitor the progress of picking/ packing and dispatching shipments.
Maintain records of completed picks, maintaining accurate logs of activities and any relevant documentation.
Problem-solving
Proactive in identifying and addressing any problems or obstacles that may impact the dispatching process. This could involve adjusting schedules to accommodate unexpected changes in customer requirements or priorities.
Documentation and Record-Keeping
Responsible for maintaining accurate records of all dispatched items, including invoices, delivery confirmations, and other relevant documentation.
Involved in data entry tasks, updating databases or D365 with relevant information.
Compliance
Ensure that all dispatching and transportation activities adhere to regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company regulations.
Safety and Compliance
Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines when handling and storing materials, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper lifting techniques.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as hazardous materials handling or storage regulations.
Other responsibilities as Management may delegate from time to time.
Qualifications & Experience
- Must have a Full Grade 12 certificate.
- Minimum of a Diploma in Purchasing and Supply or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Warehousing in a related industry
- All academic qualifications (like certificates, diplomas, or degrees) must be officially verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).

- Good communication skills
- Proficient in computer skills (MS Excel and MS Word) and able to use MS Dynamics AX
- Excellent Organizational Skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
