STORES ASSISTANT

The job holder assists the Stores Officer in the day to day running of the stores to ensure that materials are well looked after and reduce on unnecessary stock holding to achieve best value.

Key Performance Areas

• Maintaining an accurate record of items in the stores (adjusting bin cards).
• Assisting the stores officer to identify slow moving and obsolete material for appropriate action.
• Witnessing the receipt of fuel at the filling station.
• Issuing out goods against authorised stores requisition notes.
• Raising goods received notes for goods received for the signature of the Stores Officer and placing them in appropriate storage spaces.
• Preparing stores consumption report (costing of Stores Requisition Notes and fuel reports).
• Dispatching materials to outer stations on demand.
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.

Qualification

• Grade 12 certificate with 5 O’ level credits or better including English and Mathematics
• Level 2 CIPS qualification

Experience

• Minimum of three (3) years practical experience

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: professional certificate
