Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive Stores Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient management of inventory, store operations, and stock control systems to ensure the continuous availability of materials, tools, equipment, and consumables required for drilling and exploration activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials, tools, spare parts, and consumables.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of inventory items.
- Issue materials and equipment against approved requisitions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock management systems.
- Conduct regular stock counts and periodic inventory audits.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment requests as required.
- Prepare inventory and stock movement reports for management.
- Coordinate with procurement and operations teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and inventory control standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised store environment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in Purchasing & Supply, Stores Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in stores or inventory management, preferably within the mining, drilling, exploration, or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control principles and stock management systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and record-keeping skills.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
- A valid driver's licence will be an added advantage.
