Okavango Foods Limited, one of Zambia’s leading food manufacturing and catering companies, is looking for a Stores Officer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock records, ensuring proper storage of goods, and supporting production with timely issuance of materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, verify, and record all incoming goods and materials.
  • Issue raw materials and packaging items to production as per approved requisitions.
  • Maintain accurate stock cards and ensure all entries are updated in ERPNext daily.
  • Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile variances.
  • Monitor stock levels and raise purchase requisitions for replenishment in time.
  • Ensure proper labeling, storage, and FIFO/FEFO compliance.
  • Work closely with the Quality and Stock Controller to ensure stock accuracy and product integrity.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and organization within the stores area.
  • Prepare daily and monthly stock reports for management review.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Full Grade 12 Certificate with merit in English and Mathematics.
  • Diploma/Certificate in Purchasing and Supply, Stores Management, or Inventory Control from a recognized institution.
  • Member of ZIPS or a final-year student.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably ERPNext) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Must be Lusaka-based, preferably residing near Woodlands.
  • Age: 25 – 40 years.
  • Must have a clean criminal record and be of high integrity.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Honest, dependable, and results-oriented.
