Position Overview
Zanaco Bank Plc is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the following job aimed at contributing to the Bank's strategic vision, in the CEO's Division under the Strategy Department at Head Office - Support Functions:
Role Description
Job Purpose: The Strategy Analyst provides analytical and coordination support to the Strategy Department to enable effective strategy execution. The role supports the Strategy Specialist in tracking strategic initiatives, consolidating KPI updates, preparing reports and presentations, supporting vendor management, and ensuring timely documentation and stakeholder engagement to drive delivery of the Bank’s strategic priorities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Strategy Execution Support:
- Support the Strategy Specialist in tracking the execution of strategic initiatives and maintaining up-to-date action trackers.
- Follow up with business units on agreed deliverables, timelines, supporting documents, and status updates.
- Assist in consolidating updates for monthly, quarterly, and board-level reporting.
- KPI Tracking and Reporting Support:
- Maintain KPI trackers and ensure submissions from business units are complete, accurate, and received within agreed timelines.
- Support basic data analysis, formatting, and validation of information used in reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Payments and Budget Support:
- Initiate purchase requisitions and ensure all required supporting documentation required is complete, accurate, and aligned to internal requirements.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
- Support the preparation, tracking, and monitoring of the Strategy and Data team budget in line with departmental priorities.
- Research and Presentation Support:
- Undertake desktop research, competitor scans, and analysis to generate insights that support business decision-making.
- Support the development of accurate, high-quality, visually compelling, and data-backed presentations & reports, aligned to the Bank’s strategy.
- Event Coordination Support:
- Support the planning and coordination of key stakeholder and strategy-related events, including the AGM, Shareholder Day, strategy sessions, and departmental engagements.
- Coordinate logistics, documentation, stakeholder inputs, meeting materials, and action tracking to ensure effective delivery of approved events and engagements.
- Stakeholders and Departmental Support:
- Act as a coordination point between the Strategy Department and internal stakeholders by tracking requests, actions, and feedback.
- Provide day-to-day support to the Strategy Specialist to ensure strategic priorities, departmental administration, and reporting deadlines are delivered efficiently.
- Any other duties as assigned by superiors.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Full Grade 12 Certificate with 5 Credits; including English and Mathematics.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field.
- 1 - 3 years’ experience in business analysis, administration, project coordination, procurement support, payments tracking, reporting, or a related support function.

- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
