About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified and passionate Tailoring and Design Lecturer to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality training in fashion design, garment construction, and tailoring techniques, while inspiring students to develop practical and creative skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver lectures and practical lessons in tailoring and fashion design
• Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and training materials
• Teach garment construction, pattern drafting, textile selection, and finishing techniques
• Assess student performance through assignments, practicals, and examinations
• Provide mentorship and guidance to students on projects and career development
• Maintain workshop equipment and ensure safety standards are upheld
• Keep up to date with current fashion trends and industry developments

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Fashion Design, Tailoring, or a related field
• Teaching Methodology is an added advantage
• Minimum of 2–3 years teaching or industry experience in tailoring/design
• Strong practical skills in garment construction and pattern making
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with diverse students and manage a classroom/workshop
• TEVETA Accreditation
