Rhodes Park School is seeking a Teacher of Geography for the Secondary Section. The job holder will be responsible for preparing and delivering well-structured and differentiated lessons to pupils in the school.

Responsibilities:

• Taking responsibility for a class in a specific subject
• Working closely with the Head Teacher and colleagues
• Developing and enriching professional skills and knowledge
• Enforcing regulations concerning learners conduct and discipline
• Planning and implementing a relevant, challenging, and rigorous curriculum
• Planning and delivering lessons with appropriate differentiation
• Contributing to collaborative learning at all levels of school life
• Creating inquiry-based classrooms
• Selecting relevant resources and leveraging digital tools
• Developing appropriate assessment tasks
• Communicating effectively with pupils, parents, and colleagues
• Providing appropriate pastoral support
• Playing an active role in the school's extra-curricular programs

Qualifications, Experience & Personal Competencies:

• Full Grade 12 certificate with 5 Credits or better
• Secondary Teacher’s diploma in Geography and another subject
• 2 years' working experience in a reputable school
• Bachelor’s Degree will be an added advantage
• Qualified teacher registered and licensed with The Teaching Council of Zambia
• Familiar with the school pathways of Examinations Councils of Zambia and Cambridge Assessment International Education
• Good communication skills, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, integrity, professionalism, and computer literacy
