Freshtec Energy is a leading Solar Energy company, that specialises in the wholesale and retail sales of solar equipment ranging from inverters, panels, batteries and all the solar accessories to installers and to the general public.
Job Summary:
The Field Sales Agent is responsible for actively promoting and selling solar energy products directly in the field within an allocated geographical area. The role involves personal selling, market activations, and customer education on solar solutions. The agent plays a key role in expanding access to affordable and reliable renewable energy, especially in off-grid and underserved communities.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct personal selling of solar products in the assigned territory
- Understanding the customers’ requirements and suggesting products that suits their need and budget
- Identify potential customers and generate leads through field visits, referrals, and local networks.
- Educate customers on the benefits, usage, and maintenance of solar energy systems.
- Present product pricing, payment plans, and financing options (e.g. cash, credit).
- Close sales, collect orders, and ensure proper documentation.
- Collect market intelligence on competitors, customer preferences, and pricing trends.
- Carry out other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor
Qualifications and Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Sales, Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Proven sales experience, preferably in the technology or business advisory sectors.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to close sales effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Energetic, driven, and committed to achieving sales goals.
- Willingness to work extensively in the field and travel within assigned territories.
