We are currently seeking a motivated and technically proficient Sales Executive to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Expertise: Develop in-depth knowledge of our IT products and services, including hardware (desktops, laptops, servers, networking equipment) and software solutions (operating systems, office software, ERP systems and other specialized software). Clearly communicate technical features and benefits to customers.
  • Technical Support: Provide hands-on technical support to customers, including hardware repairs, software installations and implementation, troubleshooting, and addressing technical questions.
  • Direct Sales: Proactively engage with potential and existing customers to drive sales. Identify new business opportunities, build a strong client base, and foster long-term relationships to maximize customer retention.
  • Customer Engagement: Understand customer needs and technical challenges, providing tailored IT solutions that address their requirements and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed targets and grow the business.
  • Proposal and Contract Preparation: Prepare and present customized proposals, quotes, and contracts, ensuring all customer requirements are accurately reflected.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Degree in ICT or a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, or Electrical Engineering).
  • Sales Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of direct sales experience in the IT sector, particularly in Lusaka or the Zambian market, with a proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with hardware maintenance and implementation (servers, networking, firewall equipment) and software installations.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex technical information in a clear, concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Sales-Driven: Demonstrated ability to prospect, close sales, and build lasting customer relationships.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities to troubleshoot issues and tailor solutions to customer needs.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with or certification in Microsoft Products (365, Azure, Power BI), Cisco, VMware, Fortinet is desirable for candidates.
  • Familiarity with the Zambian IT market and customer behavior.
  • Knowledge of current IT trends and emerging technologies.
