About NRFA
The National Road Fund Agency (NRFA) is a statutory body established under the National Road Fund Act No. 13 of 2002. It is mandated to manage and administer the Road Fund in Zambia and serves as the lead tolling agency for the Road Development Agency.
The Agency is now seeking dynamic, proactive, and suitably qualified Zambian citizens to fill a key position in its Road Tolling Department.
Job Objective
The primary role of the Toll Collector is to collect and receipt toll fees from road users efficiently and in accordance with Agency procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect toll fees from road users using prescribed systems and procedures.
- Issue official receipts for all collected payments.
- Ensure accuracy in financial transactions and maintain daily records.
- Report discrepancies or suspicious transactions to the Senior Toll Collector.
- Provide courteous service to motorists and respond to basic tolling-related inquiries.
- Maintain proper cash handling practices and adhere to internal controls.
- Ensure proper handling and safeguarding of tolling equipment and materials.
Required Qualifications and Competencies
- Full Grade 12 Certificate.
- Diploma in Business, Sales, Marketing, Accounts, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant work experience.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Pleasant attitude and customer service orientation.
Residency Requirement
Only applicants residing in or near Nakonde, where the Toll Station is located, are encouraged to apply. The application must clearly indicate the Toll Station name (Nakonde) on the application letter.
