To strengthen our operations, we are seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to transport regulations, safety standards, and internal policies
Job Purpose
To ensure the company operates in full compliance with all applicable road transport laws, safety standards, labour regulations, and regulatory requirements including RTSA, RDA, ZRA, Ministry of Transport, and regional transport regulations, while minimizing legal, operational, and reputational risks.
Key Responsibilities
1. Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with RTSA regulations.
- Ensure compliance with RDA requirements including abnormal load permits.
- Oversee compliance with ZRA and customs regulations for cross-border operations.
- Monitor Ministry of Labour and Social Security compliance.
- Ensure adherence to Dangerous Goods regulations (where applicable).
- Monitor compliance with COMESA, SADC, and other regional transport regulations.
2. Fleet and Driver Compliance
- Ensure all vehicles have valid road fitness certificates, insurance, licenses, and cross-border permits.
- Ensure drivers have valid licenses (correct class), medical certificates, defensive driving certificates, and dangerous goods certification where required.
- Monitor driver fatigue management compliance.
- Ensure adherence to journey management procedures.
3. Audit and Inspection
- Conduct internal compliance audits.
- Carry out fleet and operational compliance inspections.
- Identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare compliance reports for management review.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Transport & Logistics, Compliance, Law, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3–5 years’ experience in transport compliance or fleet management.
- Strong knowledge of RTSA, RDA, ZRA, Ministry of Transport, and regional transport regulations.
- Cross-border compliance experience is an added advantage.

- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and enforce compliance standards
