JOB DETAILS:

Location: Lusaka

Position: 1

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trucks
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
• Gather information from drivers about truck issues
• Conduct inspections and tests to identify problems
• Repair or replace faulty components
• Provide estimated time and cost for repairs
• Collaborate with team to ensure efficient service delivery

Requirements and Skills:

• Strong understanding of truck mechanics, including engines, transmissions, and braking systems
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
• Proficiency in repairing and maintaining mechanical components
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software
• Expertise in Atego, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, FAW and Scania trucks preferred
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Qualifications:

• Completion of a mechanic certification program
• 3+ years of experience as a truck mechanic preferred
• Valid Driver’s License

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 36

Level of Education: bachelor degree
